The Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential is the only breathalyzer which is type-approved in Germany as an evidential device. It meets the most stringent requirements for breathalyzers worldwide, as they were laid down in DIN VDE 0405.
    Product benefits
Redundant design of all measuring systems
The Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential achieves its extraordinarily high measuring accuracy due to the dual design of all measuring systems. The breath alcohol concentration measurement is carried out with an electro-chemical sensor and an infrared-optical sensor (9.5 µm wave length). There are two flow and breath temperature sensors each.
    Measuring breath temperature
With the breath temperature measured the test result of the breath alcohol concentration is corrected to a reference temperature of 34°C, to prevent the impact of body temperature (for instance, a fever) or the breathing method (for instance, hyperventilation or hypoventilation) influencing the result. The Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential is the only device worldwide which is capable of carrying out this compensation.
Type-approved by PTB Germany - can be officially calibrated
The Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential is the only device that has been granted type approval in Germany by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and, can, therefore, be officially calibrated. For breath alcohol tests which can be presented in court, the German police only use the Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential.
Test procedure in accordance with DIN VDE 0405
The exact specifications on how to carry out a breath alcohol test have been laid down in DIN VDE 0405. These specifications have been implemented with the Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential. Before the breath test the test person's data is entered via the keypad. For a breath alcohol test, two breath samples must be given at 2 to 5 minute intervals. At the end of the test, a test report is output via the integrated printer.
    Single button operation
In spite of its internal complexity, the Dräger Alcotest 7110 Evidential is extremely easy to operate. To start a test, all you need to do is to press the start button. All subsequent steps are carried out automatically or are requested with clear instructions on the display.
